Special engineering plastics classification
Special engineering plastics
Special engineering plastics, also called high-performance engineering plastics, refer to engineering plastics with higher comprehensive performance and long-term use working temperature above 150°C. They have high precision, ultra-high temperature resistance, super corrosion resistance, super fatigue resistance, and super wear resistance. High-temperature transparent, wave-absorbing and wave-transmitting special properties and high-performance engineering plastics are mainly used in high-tech emerging industries such as electronics, machinery, and nuclear power, as well as military and aerospace aviation and other advanced technology industries. Special engineering plastics mainly include: PPS (polyphenylene sulfide), PEEK (polyether ether copper), PI (polyimide), PEI (polyetherimide), PAI (polyamide-imide), PBI (Polybenzimidazole), PPSU (polyphenylene sulfone), PSF (polysulfone), LCP (liquid crystalline polymer), UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), PTFE/PVDF (fluoroplastic).
