1. Polyphenylene Oxide or Polyphenylene ether, or polyphenylene ether, abbreviated as PPO or PPE.
 
2.The market is mainly Modified Polyphenylene Oxide (MPPO), or MPPE (Modified Polyphenylene ether). But customarily, both polyphenylene ether and its modified blend polymers are called PPO or PPE.
 
The characteristics and application of polyphenylene ether and modified polyphenylene ether (PPE, PPO)

Main features:

  1. High mechanical strength, rigidity and wear resistance

  2. Good flame retardancy and electrical insulation

Application areas:

  1.MPPO has small density, easy processing and good dimensional stability, and is suitable for manufacturing office equipment, household appliances, computers and other boxes, chassis and precision components.

  2. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent of MPPO are the lowest among the five general engineering plastics: coil bobbin, socket, control shaft, transformer shield, relay box, insulation pillar, and color TV's line output transformer (FBT); (not Affected by temperature and high wave number, especially high temperature resistance, it is suitable for making electrical insulation parts used under wet and loaded conditions).

  3.MPPO has good water resistance and heat resistance, and is suitable for manufacturing water meters, pumps, and bobbins for textile mills (requires cooking resistance and long service life).

  4. Lithium-ion battery market: Mobile phones, portable computers, high-performance cameras, video cameras, etc. all require lithium-ion batteries.

  5.MPPO automobile industry: instruments, protective bars, PPO and PA alloys, especially those with high impact resistance specifications are used for exterior components.

  6. Chemical industry: corrosion-resistant equipment.

Replaces stainless steel and other metals: medical equipment, hot water tanks, exhaust fans.

Since the performance and level of use of modified PPE and PPO are very different and their processing variables are also very variable, the following range should be adjusted accordingly:
 
  1. Drying: 90°C-100°C /3-4Hr
 
  2, injection temperature: 220-290 °C
 
  3, mold temperature: 40-120 °C
